...the answers will come, just be open enough to receive them... seek for what is within --jacquie-- come, and share my journey with words... The
Guest House "This
being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. "Never stop dreaming, for out of such fragile things come miracles." -Unknown All our lives,
we search for someone to love, someone who makes us complete. Observe the wonders as they occur around you. Don't claim them. Feel the artistry moving through and be silent.-Rumi The virtue of angels is that they cannot deteriorate; their flaw is that they cannot improve. Humanity's flaw is that we can deteriorate; but our virtue is that we can improve.- Hasidic saying Ascension "We all take different
paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other
everywhere." We all move on the fringes of eternity and are sometimes granted vistas through the fabric of illusion.....Ansel Adams Vigilance... my immortal / evanescence (a painfully beautiful lyric) i'm so tired of being
here If questioning would make us wise, no eyes would ever gaze in eyes; if all our tale were told in speech, no mouths would wonder each to each. Were spirits free from mortal flesh and love not bound in hearts of flesh, no aching breasts would yearn to meet and find their ecstasy complete. For who is there that lives and knows the secret powers by which he grows? Were knowledge all, what were our need to thrill and faint and sweetly bleed? Then seek not, sweet, the "if" and "why" I love you now until I die, For I must love because I live and life in me is what you give... --words written by Christopher Brennan (1870-1932) (entitled, Because She Would Ask Me Why I Loved Her) Be brave enough to
live creatively. The creative is the As we walked, hand-in-hand through the journey of Life, our Fate intertwined Harmoniously amidst the songs of melodic Uncertainty. As we kissed, Honored by the passionate embraces of Love, our shadows overlapped Inseparably as if two souls were kissing. As we laid, Separated by a thin layer of restrained moral veil, Our thoughts interwoven sinuously with the Flaming threads of Desire...So we slept, wearied from the concerns of this world, our dreams merged boundlessly like the blue ocean and its horizon... If questioning would make us wise, no eyes would ever gaze in eyes; if all our tale were told in speech, no mouths would wonder each to each. Poem by: John William Waterhouse Arashi-Shibori (pronounced ah-rah-she she-boar-ee) is named for the beautiful yet natural occurrence that we witness in the sky when, particularly after a storm, the wind and rain dance together and create intersecting linear patterns of color.. Apache Wedding Blessing: Now you will feel no rain for each of you will be shelter to the other. Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other. Now there is no loneliness for you, for each of you will be a companion to the other. Now you are two persons, but there is one life before you. Go now to your dwelling place to enter into the days of your togetherness. And may your days be good and long upon this earth.
People
always come into your life for a reason, a season and a lifetime. When
you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, or to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually. They may seem like a godsend to you, and they are. They are there for a reason, you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die, Sometimes they just walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on. When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season. And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall, the season eventually ends. LIFETIME, relationships teach you a lifetime of lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people [anyway], and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being part of my life..... -- beautiful words written and shared by Brian A. "Drew" Chalker via his wife, Lori. The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. Whosoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are dimmed." - Albert Einstein When you walk to
the edge of all the light you have "To the world,
you may be just one person. But, to one person, you may just be the world!"
--unk "Seek out those in who's mind
the golden fire burns and forsake those with but a silver tongue" Darkness
cannot drive out darkness; only light
can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love
can do that. "All things in this creation exist within you, and all things in you exist in creation; there is no distance between you and the closest things, and there is no distance between you and the farthest things, and all things, from the lowest to the loftiest, from the smallest to the greatest, are within you as equal things. In one atom are found all the elements of the earth; in one motion of the mind are found the motions of all the laws of existence; in one drop of water are found the secrets of the endless oceans; in one aspect of you are found all aspects of existence." — Kahlil Gibran That which
does not kill us, makes us stronger... What can
be counted does not always count, and what counts can not always be counted... Most
of us spend our lives as if we have another one in the bank. Life is the art of
drawing without an eraser...
a very dear person gave this quote to me saying it was written for me... if nature has made
you a giver, your hands are born open, and so is your heart.
The truth slips & turns, but
the facts remain the same... If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice." (Neil Peart) “Appreciation
is a wonderful thing: It
makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.”
–Voltaire JUMP! You'll grow your wings on the way down! -Ross Campesi, Sr. Those who thank God much are the truly wealthy. -Albert Schweitzer Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die Life is a broken-winged
bird that cannot fly. Sometimes I wonder whether the
world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles
who really mean it.
--Mark Twain Beginning
today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight.
Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster,
and do with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same
again. Every artist dips her brush into her own soul, and paints her own spirit with excellence… --unk Work like you don't
need money; angels always take a form that is most acceptable to whomever they are appearing. --unk Top

the difference between mediocrity and accomplishment." "Follow your heart and you'll never get lost." - anonymous
"To
understand truth one must have a very sharp, precise, clear mind; not
a cunning mind, but a mind that is capable of looking without any
distortion, a mind innocent and vulnerable. Only
such a mind can see what truth is. Nor
can a mind that is filled with knowledge perceive what truth is; only
a mind that is completely capable of learning can do that. Learning
is not the accumulation of knowledge. Learning
is movement from movement to movement." -
J. Krishnamurti
"The
soul should always stand ajar, "Then
it was as if I suddenly saw the secret beauty of their hearts, the
depths where neither sin nor desire can reach, the
person that each one is in God's eyes. If
only they could see themselves as they really are. If
only we could see each other that way, there
would be no reason for war, for hatred, for cruelty ... I
suppose the big problem would be that we
would fall down and worship each other." - Thomas Merton
Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want
is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.
Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies
within us while we live.
Wordsworth "Ask courageous
questions. Do not be satisfied with superficial answers. Be
open to wonder and at the same time subject all claims to knowledge, without
exception, to intense skeptical scrutiny. Be aware of human fallibility.
Cherish your species and your planet."
You
hate most in others what you see in yourself... You
need a good bag, good jewels and a good date. Intolerance
of any kind has never been responsible for the furtherance of mankind... Picasso said he spent the first half of his life becoming an adult and the last half of learning to be a child... Successful people live well, laugh often, and love much. They've filled a niche and accomplished tasks so as to leave the world a better place than they found it, while looking for the best in others and giving the best they have. --Emerson "The world
is so exquisite, with so much love and moral depth, that there is no reason
to deceive ourselves with pretty stories for which there's little good
evidence. Far better, it seems to me, in our vulnerability, is to
look Death in the eye and to be grateful every day for the brief but magnificent
opportunity that life provides." Woman
must come of age by herself Be
patient toward all that is unresolved in your heart, The ultimate test
of a man's conscience may be his willingness to sacrifice something today
for future generations whose words of thanks will not be heard.
If anyone wants
to make himself invisible, there is no surer way than to become poor." ...And
in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make... Our
greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful
beyond measure. |
